The bible tells us to Love one another as he loves us. John 13: 34-35. And that includes everyone. God seems to have a special fondness for orphans and widows simply because they are most vulnerable, so making the case that orphans deserve our attention and care is easy to do.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. Psalm 68:5
